What’s So Important About Interior Design Anyway?
If you ask Google it tells you this:
The art or process of designing the interior decoration of a room or building.
To answer the first point, there are a million reasons, most of them gut instinct, to explain why interior design is so important. Our basics need is to have a roof over our heads and shelter from the elements. And if you don't have that, whether the walls are blue or yellow, or whether the style should be industrial chic or turn of the century throwback is unlikely to be top of your list of things to think about. But once you feel secure in your home, you tend to spend a lot of time in it, and you want that time to feel great. No-one wants to be in space that makes them feel depressed, or caged in or simply uninspired. And it's that element that makes interior design so important. It's understanding how colours can affect your mood, how images can shape your feelings, how the play of light can lift your spirits, how a fluffy rug feels glorious under your feet and how a beautiful aroma can stop you in your tracks for a moment. It's the joy you get from sharing all of that with your friends and loved ones, or just savouring it all for yourself. That's the beauty of interior design, and it's why we believe that everyone should have the chance to experience great interior design at home so that they go out into the world as happier and more productive people.
That's what we at DoTheRoom.com about it;s a passion that we want to share with you.
